The upcoming series between England and New Zealand has been named the "Crow-Tharpe Trophy" in honor of two legendary cricketers, Graham Tharpe of England and Martin Crowe of New Zealand. The series will feature three Test matches, starting on November 28 in Christchurch. The second Test will begin on December 6, with the third match scheduled for December 14. The trophy, named after Tharpe and Crowe, is crafted from the wood of the bats used by both cricketers. The bats were donated by the families of the two players, with Tharpe’s bat representing his memorable performances against New Zealand, and Crowe’s bat symbolizing his centuries against England. Both Tharpe and Crowe were considered some of the finest batters of their time. Graham Tharpe passed away earlier this year, while Martin Crowe passed away in 2016.
